Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow
Bridge...
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
someone here, that pet goes to The Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is
plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends
are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to
health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are
made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one
small thing: they miss someone very special to them;
who had to be left behind. They all run and play
together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent;
the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break
away from the group, flying over the green grass, his
legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your
special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous
reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the
beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life
but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together . . .
In Memory of Our Beloved
Mitzi...
Mitzi had to cross over to the rainbow
bridge after a very long and happy life
recently. She was not only a member of
her own family but a member of our family
here at Keshlyn also. She has been coming
to us for as long as I can remember and
just recently she spent several months
with us before her mom was able to come
home and spend her last month with her. It
saddens us deeply and we all miss her so
much. She will never be forgotten.

When your loved one is
with us, they also become
part of our family. They
will never be forgotten
and will remain in our
hearts forever.

"Gavin"
October 1991- August 2008
We recently learned that one of our
best friends, "Gavin W." is now at
Rainbow Bridge. He was a regular
friend that has been coming to us
for years and years. Even at his old
age he was still spunky and knew
all of our staff's smell and touch
when he stayed with us. He will be
missed by all of us but we have to
try and smile knowing he wouldn't
want to see us upset.

Remember...
When your best friend is gone, it could possibly be one of the hardest and traumatic events
that one has to go through. We feel it's not fair and we may even feel guilt. At times like this, you
have to remember all the good times that you shared with your buddy. Laugh at all the silly and
perhaps "bad" things that he or she did. Without your unconditional love, your best friend
wouldn't of had all the happy years that you spent together.
When I hear the name "Hunter", the only thing that comes to my mind is Mr.
Hunter McKinley, the "coolest sheltie to cross my path. And when you look at this
picture, you will know what I mean; he just has this persona about him that made
you notice him. He knew just how cool he was and it saddens me so to find out
that he is no longer with us. It does help to know that he is not in any pain and is
happy running in his "sheltie circles" on Rainbow Bridge. "Hunter" became part of
our Keshlyn family back in October of 1997 when he was only 5 months old. We
will never forget all the great memories that "Hunter" gave us at Keshlyn over the
past years and that is my advice to the McKinley family; remember the good times
and smile.

"Missy" Ogger
(1999 - 2009)
Just look at this picture of Missy. She was one
of those dogs that was always smiling and her
tail was always wagging while staying with us.
She had those big teddy bear eyes that made
your heart melt. When I think of her
and over all
the years she stayed with us
, all I can think
about is how much she loved getting her
milkbones. She always knew that after she got
her meds and after I took care of her foot, that I
was going to give her an extra treat. I will truly
miss walking by her run and her eyes catching
mine
. I just couldn't help but give her a milkbone
and an extra hug
when she looked at me with
those eyes.
She also loved it when I would
scratch behind her ears!
Missy was a big part of
the Keshlyn family and nobody else will ever fill
that spot. My thoughts and prayers are with this
family.
Remember the good times and smile.
